This is the outfit my girl wore on her first day of school, to K3 (though this picture was taken in July). I love K3. It’s like big-kid school. They go to chapel. They have PE, for Pete’s sake. Tink even has piano every Friday. Except it’s pronounced pinano.
Yes, those are Tretorns she’s wearing on her wee feet. As a child of the ’80s, I dreamed of the day I’d buy a pair for my daughter. They aren’t $14 anymore, and Tink didn’t insist on Scotchguarding them immediately, and then there’s the Velcro, but some things don’t change … they’re too damn narrow to be worn by normal people. Since Tink has the widest feet I’ve ever seen, feet that seem to spread as she walks on them, they pinch her peds. So much so that she only wore them a half-dozen times before she told me it was time to put them away for her ficticious little sister. Back to the Keens for my little 8 wide.
