Me: No, Tink, we’ve got to get rolling. We have Chinese school today.
Tink: But can I watch cartoons affer Chinese school?
Me: Uh, maybe. But there really aren’t any cartoons on then. And after a nap I thought we’d go to the playground.
Tink: Mmmm, no. I will watch cartoons. And I will watch them on the bed. And I will have a treat and eat my sugar candy. I will eat one of my new lollipops and I will watch cartoons on the bed. Yes? Yes, Mommy? YES, MOMMY?
Me: Well …
Tink: (Congratulating herself on her stellar negotiation skills and not really speaking to me anyway) Sounds like a deal!
