“You tap that Devora yet?” (No response.) “Didn’t think so.” Leans back in his chair, looks away, bored, checks incoming texts.
“I don’t give a shit if they were hot. They were from fucking Texas. That’s like near Mexico. Except my friend from boarding school lives there, and he’s like the most gorgeous Mexican ever. Wait. What were we talking about?”
“I find your love of scarves and the irreverent way you wear them with an undershirt, the icon of the working class, convey an insouciance not normally seen among our social set. You are truly a sartorial enigma, Mr. Peterson.”
“It was fun. It inspired me to pursue photography, to pick it up again. And, you know, explore what’s inside me that really, you know, wants to come out.”
“You hold a certain fascination when you were beautiful, unshaven and untouched. Now you’re like the Arabians my father used to own. … I think I’m falling under the spell of your scarf. I too know the power of the scarf.”
“Yeah, I know I could sleep with Jessie anytime I wanted. It’s just that, you know, we’re like best girlfriends, I mean, she’s my best girl friend. You know?” (Awkward pause. Scrambling for a save.) “So is Dan still with Serena or has he moved on yet? What’s his story?”
“I’m Chuck Bass.”

“Jessie and Blair? I wouldn’t get too jazzed about them. The girls are, have been and always will be nada. By the way, I like your scarf.”
